As we all know, Morrissey is a flawless human being. To his lyrics to his hair, the man can do no wrong. This being said, some pretty brilliant and downright hilarious things have come out of the guy's mouth. Here are my top 10 favourite Morrissey quotes, in order.10. "When I'm lying in my bed I think about life and I think about death and neither one particularly appeals to me." Something about this is so insanely profound that I just can't shake it. It's the blatant honesty of the "neither one particularly appeals to me" that I think is a net a lot of us fall into now and again. The struggle on both ends is constant, nearly magnetic, and no one's said it better than this.
9. "Why on earth would I be racist, what would I be trying to achieve?" Amen to that, brotha.
8. “I always thought my genitals were the result of some crude practical joke.” For some reason, the fact that Morrissey is asexual makes me love him evermore. I find that if he were married, or dating, he'd seem untouchable, a bit too grounded, especially if he had a kid. Being a single lad, he's more…real.
7. “Whenever I go past Mcdonalds I get very, very angry.” I feel the same way. Either it's because consumerism makes me gag, or because of how cruel they are. I absolutely despise Mcdonald's; what they do is entirely unforgivable. It gets my blood boiling simply thinking of the chain and its' supporters.
6. “I am capable of looking on the bright side – I just don’t do it very often.” I find it fascinating that rather than forcing away his emotions of negativity, he embraces them and makes it something great. He's completely embodied that ability, which seems effortless.

If your music doesn't have meaning, what does that say about you and where you stand? You're a grey blob, a colourless entity. Music is the paint of life.
