…And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead's, 'Up to Infinity’ Reviewed

I have always been intrigued by their long and bizarre moniker but …And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead is about to release their eighth album entitled, ‘Lost Songs’.

Rolling Stone is premiering one of these lost songs called ‘Up to Infinity’ and it’s quite an epic. aggressive punk number with thunderous guitars and raging vocals. In fact, the song is as angry and wild that it is busy, and it almost sounds like punk hardcore at times or like a tempest over our heads ready to destroy everything; it is not surprising to read that the track was inspired by the Syrian civil war!

There is a breakdown mid song, which unleashes more ascending fury afterwards. like a second battle annihilating the first one. Seen the previous political allusion, we have to expect more of these political statements throughout the album. This is actually what frontman Conrad Keely declared:

‘Hello, we are …And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead. This is our eighth album, it was recorded this summer in Hannover, Germany. The music was inspired by the apathy to real world events that has plagued the independent music scene now for over a decade. The first preview of our album, entitled 'Up To Infinity', is about the Syrian civil war. We believe that tyranny and despotism suffered by any people, anywhere, is intolerable and should not be treated as an internal matter, but completely justifies intervention by the international community.

We would like to also dedicate this song to Pussy Riot.’

The album is set to be released on October 22nd.
