1. Walk Like A Giant – Neil Young & Crazy Horse – Neil's best new song in decades, maybe since stuff off El Dorado, is an expansive 16 minute hot diggety proto- Sergio Leone theme replete with whistles and deep guitar struts. By the end it is just a marshal shrapnel plummeting, and in between Young worries about getting old. The reason  I am so happy I've failed to like anything Young has produced till this year, is so when I say this is a return to form, you can believe- Grade: A

2.Trey Anastasio – Scabbard – I've always preferred him solo because he has always gotten his World Beat on solo – Grade: B

3. Southpaw – Kevin Greenspon – It took me a week to figure the meowing cat was part of the song – Grade: B+

4. Calling All Gods – Dan Whitley – The thing about Whitley isn't that he is either the best singer or best guitarist, but that has the best sound. You can find a purpose behind every single note -Grade: A

5. My Bag Is on The Floor, Why Isn't Yours -Lizard Kisses – The thing about this Brooklyn duet is you know they are just a Consequence of Sound review away from playing next years Bonnarro and you want to make sure you knew em when. This deep album cut is 75 seconds filled with modulating flutes and noises – Grade: B+

6. Begin Again – Taylor Swift – The best bit? Where the new guy tells her about watching Christmas movies with his family – Grade: A

7. Gravity – No Doubt – Well, now, this is a disappointment. Sort of No Doubt if No Doubt had forgotten to write songs – grade: C+

8. How To Live – Band Of Horses – The question isn't whether it is an improvement over the last album. It is. A big one. The question is whether it will sell and that I'm less sure about – Grade: B+

9. Ice Age – David Byrne And St. Vincent – Around about here I gave up on them – Grade: C-

10. Run Till It's dark – Public Enemy – Nobody can do this any more – Grade: A
