Music Masters Camp; Full Moon Resort

Rock and roll cruises, residencies, house parties, and camps. We are a music obsessed world that despite major economic woes will put it out there and skip this month’s mortgage payment to be a rock star for a brief time.

Welcome back to the Music Masters Camp, a camp for grown up wannabees to ‘hone their craft’ and pretend to be real live musicians for a few days.  Not as cheesy as the rock and roll camp done in Las Vegas (but at least that had some has been hair metal celebs) this upstate shindig gives you some schooling from hipsters, Animals as Leaders.

A very odd band choice considering their fame is somewhat limited, I can’t see them being a big draw. Yet, who knows where the money goes.  This is a four-day instructional camp, which takes place January 2 to 6, 2013, at Full Moon Resort in Big Indian, New York, will include workshops, one-on-one instruction, seminars, gourmet meals, performances and other camp activities.  I tried to get the camp cost for the Animals as Leaders session but strangely the link was broken.  Actually none of the links were working.  Let’s face it- this isn’t cheap.  It’s a rich guy fun thing and that’s that.

"As a musician, I've benefited the most from demonstration," says Abasi, Animals As Leaders' guitarist. "I hope to create an environment for other aspiring musicians to do the same. I and the other instructors involved will be at your disposal to provide an opportunity for growth and inspiration. I believe that this is truly a unique group of players with highly individual approaches to their instruments together in one place at one time."
