K Pop quite simply is Korean Pop Music. This rage has been slithering in to our pop culture for quite awhile now. We haven’t paid it much mind and perhaps we should have (though I don’t think so). Bigbang is one of the most popular bands in the genre and they’re coming our way. Scheduled to play the Prudential Center in New Jersey the band will bring its “Alive Galaxy” world tour to the eager Westerners.
BIGBANG, which consists G.Dragon, T.O.P, Seungri, Taeyang and Daesun. The group, known for their unique sound and flamboyant fashion, has gained recognition from music lovers and fashionistas all over the world.
During August, the members of BIGBANG took time off from their world tour to focus on their individual talents and projects. These projects include the launch of G.Dragon’s 2nd solo album “ONE OF A KIND”, T.O.P’s participation in spy movie “Alumni” and Seungri being the host of his own TV program “V.I. FROM BIGBANG”. At the end of September, the group will resume their world tour, performing for fans and supporters in countries including Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan, Philippines, Malaysia, the United States, and Japan before their first ever performance in Hong Kong.
Go to this if only to people watch. I don’t suppose you’ll l be able to sing along but you may be able to fake it and shake around a bit. The characters in this scene are flamboyant ala Harijuku Girls but with a bit more polish and a little less street grime.
