Amanda Palmer "The Killing Type" Video Review

I FIGURED IT OUT!  Yes, it took me awhile I admit it but I finally FINALLY figured out my love hate relationship with Amanda Palmer.  I have been hating her since she annoyed the hell out of me on Twitter with her ode to hairy crotches.  She was so fake.  A Smith College has been full of themselves and so hip  you'd never be able to handle the hipness.

After being a Dresden Doll fan for so long it was tough to jump ship and actually turn from love to hate.  Yes, hate.  She annoyed the hell out of me. So much so that I didn't even want to see her on her tour or participate in her asinine kick starter bullshit.  Bitch you've been around for 20 years get a fucking clue.  Yeah, full out venom.

So I didn't bother to listen to anything new. Without Brian she was just a skanky hairy brat.  Then today I stumbled upon her video for "The Killing Type'.  Her face bugs me so I popped in the ear buds and hit play opened another window and got on with my life.  Wait.  This song…its fucking brilliant.

Raw emotion and rage that I totally can relate to. Actually nearly the same rage I felt whenever I saw or read something about her.  That's it!  I adore Amanda, I love her lyrics I worship that quirky voice I want to consume the woman I hear and have her be a part of me..scared yet?  Yeah, in a nearly psychotic fashion I realized that I absolutely madly love Amanda but I simply cannot tolerate watching her.

No live shows, no Twitter banter none of the social media.  I cant stomach that- but her music?  Her music is Godly.  There is a ridiculous raw energy that she conveys that is disturbing and awkward and very unlike her persona of artsy girl. She becomes a parody when the two Amanda's meet.

I don't care if you tattoo your eyebrows, have nice boobs, hairy pits or a shrub between your legs- what i do care about is the amazing journey Amanda's music takes me on.  This song should be my anthem.

Oh, the video?  The moment you see the title and see its all white you know blood is coming, and there is tons of it.  Big deal. Visually it sucks.
