“Crossfire Hurricane” Rolling Stones Documentary

Well us common folk wont be seeing The Stones on their silly tour dates so here's another bone that they're throwing us for their 50th anniversary. This should only last the year right?  I mean we aren't going to get dumb Stones stuff forever right?

The documentary, of course, features 'never before seen footage', and the band also offers insights to their adventures in history as blues loving teenagers to stadium filling legends they have become.  There is little focus on the infancy of the band for some reason.  So much time is spent on their success that this film will take the opportunity to school you on their start.

It’s being billed as the "backstage pass to outdo them all", the band offers their spin on events that made them famous and those prior to the paparazzi glare.  I suppose this could be more of a Rolling Stones 101.

Asked in a formative interview in the film what it is that sets them apart from other groups, frontman Mick Jagger says, “A chemical reaction seems to have happened.”

“You can’t really stop the Rolling Stones,” adds Keith Richards. “You know when that sort of avalanche is facing you, you just get out of the way.”

Cant stop and get out of the way?  I suppose that quote is way out of context but then again.. its Keith.

I would hope this documentary would give ample time to the late Brian Jones.  It is said that he stated he simply wasn't suited to the rock and roll lifestyle.  His story, to me anyway is far more interesting (and way shorter)  Then the never ending accolades for the band that's done it all.  Lets have a show about the stuff they have done that sucks shall we?  Lets start with the God awful duet with David Bowie for 'Dancing in The Streets', the video below made me HATE Jagger and question my love of Bowie.  WTF were these two on?

Anyway… Crossfire Hurricane (named after the line in Jumpin' Jack Flash, in case it was bugging you where you'd heard that before) is to premier in the UK UK theaters in October, followed by its US debut via HBO on November 15.  Yes.. straight to cable.

Ok now dig this crap …for the life of me.. why? WHY?
