The Stones have been toying with their fans for months. Regarding any sort of celebration for the bands 50th anniversary the rumors have flown. Nothing has materialized. There has been hundreds of people stating hundreds of claims and yet as far as I can see- none have materialized.
First off, we need to pause to offer up some serious respect to a band that can hold it together that long. These guys have played through decades of change and have mysteriously stayed in tune with trend. Good or bad everyone has an opinion on Mick and the boys and everyone it seems is chomping for info on how this big five OH is going to be celebrates.
Well leave it to the geezers to once again ride a wave. Word has it now that information is forthcoming via their social networking sites. We are being told to keep an eye on their Twitter and Facebook pages for important information. I think Twitter is going to eat Facebook alive by the way, people are sick of all that info so I say (and I will) its time to follow the band on Twitter. That will be the mode of communications
The Stones also have posted a mysterious image of a two eyes over a dim background with direction for fans with either an Android device or iPhone to score a free app called uView. Once fans download the app, the eyes start blinking and a few words appear: “Keep your eyes peeled.”
Ooooo is it tour time or more hype?
