I have always loved this song, how can’t anyone love it? It’s fragile, sincere, heartbreaking, and sung with so much vulnerability. Too bad that this 1990 Daniel Johnston’s song ‘True Love will find You in the End’ has just been used in that stupid AXE Body Spray commercial.
Who is responsible of this? I am sorry but when you have such a beautiful little gem you don’t use it in an ad joking about a romance between a pair of breasts on legs and some head of hair on legs! What is this supposed to mean? That men only look at female breasts and women at male hairs? Call me a desperate romantic, but the devastating song is worth so much more than this cheap simplistic, false and idiotic conception seeing humans as Neanderthals.
