In the battle of the Queen bitches, Elton John just slam dunked Madonna and left her for dead. Speaking with Molly Muldrum on Australia's "Sunday Night Show", this is what Elton had to say: "Why is she such a nightmare? Sorry, her career is over. Her tour has been a disaster and it couldn't happen to a bigger cunt…If Madonna had any common sense she would have made a record like Ray Of Light and stayed away from the dance stuff and just been a great pop singer and make great pop records, which she does brilliantly. But no, she had to go and prove…she looks like a fucking fairground stripper." My problem with all these is pretty simple, Madonna might be having a mid-life crises, and the new album might have tanked, but ticket sales are excellent and the new album is alright to my mind. It'll make my best of 2012. and it at least is no worse than, say, Wrecking ball, and while it isn't as good as the Pneu Vs John, it is better than ANYTHING ELSE John has put his name on for the past 20 years.
I don't see Madonna's career as ever being over and I'm no uberfan in the slightest. The controversey that surrounds her still, from wiping off DNA to flashing her titties and causing a riot. has been at least interesting. She sold out Yankee Stadium. She invented what Gaga is doing, get over it. But, yeah, Madonna is probably a cunt as well.
