Jonah Lehrer Of the New Yorker Fabricated Bob Dylan Quotes… That Gives Me An Idea

Jonah Lehrer was forced to resign from the New Yorker for falsifying quotes by Bob Dylan for his book "Imagine". "The quotes in question either did not exist, were unintentional misquotations, or represented improper combinations of previously existing quotes. But I told Mr. Moynihan that they were from archival interview footage provided to me by Dylan's representative." goes Jonah's statement.

Leaving aside the obvious comment: how could Jonah NOT find a quote from Dylan to suit his purposes, rock nyc has just discovered a new way to get interviews with people we can't get interviews with: we WILL MAKE THEM UP!

I feel our readers deserve a fulsome apology for our not realizing that if we can't afford seances with dead rock stars, why not just make it up ENTIRELY.

Here are some excerpts from upcoming rock nyc exclusives:

Bono Comes Out of The Closet: "Kiss me, Iman," Bono whispered in my ear, the smell of Guiness hard on his breath, "Turn off your recorder and let me show you what 'One' really means."

Taylor Swift: Deadlier Than The Male: She  put her hand deep in her wallet before pulling out a white envelope. "Do you have a razor?" She asked, "Fuck it, I'll just use my switchblade knife" and before I could even register her moves, she was chopping the fine white crystals and reaching for the straw, "James Taylor taught me that move," she said before adding with a smirk: "James taught me many things."

Kanye West, The Confessor: "Stop Kanye, just stop" I said. "I can't stop," he replied, curled into a fetal position, his face in the palms of his hands, sobbing and sobbing and sobbing. "I'm in love with Beyonce and there is nothing I can do about it."

This isn't the end, no, no no, as soon as I can think them up there will be more…
