Bow Wow Wow, Social Distortion, Stiff Little Fingers, the Only Ones, Agnostic Front, Goldblade, the Fits and Slaughter and the Dogs, with over 150 bands all together in one fest over 3 days. Punk Rock Utopia, if you ask me as half of these bands I would kill to see on their own let alone with the others.
Rebellion Fest is being heralded as the biggest punk rock event in the world. The festival will showcase music, fashion, spoken word and I presume a huge amount of politics and opinions. Considering the age of these acts, it goes to show that punk really cant die, its too wired up.
I would love to see Bow Wow Wow, I don't know if time was kind to them but the songs are embedded in my brain and a huge part of my youth. this would be a nostalgia show without a doubt. I would love to hear the demographic reports for this even once all is said and done considering none of us will be there.
Why? Cuz the damn thing is taking place in the UK in Blackpool next weekend August 2-5. Those good for nothing Brits have this AND Strummer of Love in August. I hate them and I will never forgive them for it.
Then again if they could all just pack up and come to the states for a weekend they can all camp in my backyard.
