New Order Tours The US

2001 is the last time the US had a New Order tour and it’s been a long 11 years.  Fear not, the drought is over and  New Order will offer up seven stops beginning in October.  They don’t get out much anymore, the lineup is different (that sorta goes without saying)

New, New Order consists of Sumner on vocals and guitar, drummer Stephen Morris, Gillian Gilbert and Phil Cunningham on guitars and keyboards and bassist Tom Chapman.

“We’ve been having such a great time together this year, playing shows all over Europe, and we’re all really excited to be playing America again,” Sumner said. “We have so many friends and fans there we can’t wait to get back!”

Tickets to some stops are already on sales so I suggest you skedaddle.  New York City’s Roseland goes on sale August 5th at 10am.

This is gonna be a quick sell out.

It appears the old “Manchester Scene” is back, dragging all the geezers out of retirement for a big hurrah.  I, for one, think it’s a great idea.  I usually am not a fan of the old rockers but this- this could work.  I may actually have to rethink my ‘too old to rock and roll opinion’, I’ll keep you posted.
