After too many shouts of 'wake and bake' and actually laughing as if he invented the phrase the weed weighed so heavy in the air that I thought I saw the image of Bob Marley floating above. See you have to be high to appreciate T. Mills because if you're not, hes a little honky asshole who is frantically trying to be cool.
I appreciate musicians who can work in some controversy but its an art that you need to finesse' maybe at 23 he's too young to figure that out but asking the audience to scream 'pussy' is pretty stupid. Was that supposed to sound cool or something? His personality reminded me of Costa in Project X, a fake. But that didn't stop the girlies from fist pumping. Mostly because they didn't know the words but with stellar chants like 'all these hoes on my dick', how could they not catch on? T.Mills is getting laid on a regular basis but I fear that wont last long as he becomes more a parody than an artist.
His vocals were muffled almost to the point of incoherent and at first I thought it was s a bad mic, then I realized it was actually because the kid was nearly deep throating the mic. Get a room boy. Musically it was the stereotypical back beat that every white wanna be Eminem picks up at beats.com. I was hoping a gangstah rapper would bust in and pop Opie of the stage- didnt happen.
The never ending singback of " I wanna hit it like a baseball bat' actually had me wanting to sing along, but for different reasons. I wanted to hit them with one. The fans were few but animated, burn out hardcore boys and duck lipped former myspace queens They were lovin' it though. The girls were too young to be girls gone wild so lets call them girls gone stupid.
"Fuck um With My Vans On", was great product placement and a fabulous ending to a thankfully short set. That at least had a sense of humour too it- cuz no one was laughing at the other shit despite the contact high.
