There is nothing- I repeat nothing better than Warped Tour and every year it is better than the last. This year with fantastic coordination the lines of entry to the lines at rest rooms to the lines at the Klean Kanteen water stations were smooth as silk. How these people pull this off is a mystery unknown but it is precision, it is seamless and it is glorious.
This years Warped Tour had us greeted by the amazing Bethany who rocks the press desk like the master of ceremonies, filling in the gaps and always ALWAYS smiling no matter how many people tug at her. This is our third year encountering Bethany and she is a great attribute to the Warped team and a prime example of the quality of people involved in this event. Along the back stage tables there are papers and cds strewn about- things you should know about, which is why the rocknyc card is there now.
This years interview schedules were a bit light. We opted to speak with my new found favorite band I Fight Dragons. The magic of Warped tour is walking away with a new band to love. Fate had me in the right place at the right time not once but twice to interact with these guys. More on them to come including our impromptu interview. You'll have a new fave band once all is said and done.
There were more people than ever this year and a younger crowd from what I recall. Most likely due to the bands, not much hardcore this go round other than the mighty Four Year Strong, Chelsea Grin and a couple others.
This was a picture perfect New England summer festival. Already looking forward to the next Warped Tour! Stay with us and over the next few days we will have reviews of Mod Sun, Lost Prophets, I Fight Dragons, (and their interview!!) as well as tons of pit pictures from the Magpie who covered the other side of the stages.
Long Live Warped Tour! Another fabulous time.
