1. White (feat John Mayer) – Smooth jazz with sparkling minimal bass throbs and supper club lo-fi guitar notes; a dream world sound to the album seemingly unwilling, like the pearly gates! – Grade: A
2. This Is Love – Will I Am – Hey, maybe the BEPs solo curse continues unabated! Downgraded because it didn't work – Grade: B
3. The Hurt – Cat Stevens – The album was considered something of a comeuppence at the time, but this prosaic lyric worked in the same Stevens earliest pop songs. Simple but slicing – Grade: A
4. Impregnable Question – Dirty Projectors – One of the best songs of the year – Grade: A
5. Jump Right In – Zac Brown – The Spin Doctors of country, when they get it right they are giddy fun. Like here – Grade: B+
6. Bubblegum Bitch – Marina And The Diamond – Alright, UK pop UK fashion, but not quite good enough – Grade: B
7. Feed Me Now – Saint Motel – A touch downbeat opener to their sophomore album – Grade: B
8. Murdered Love – P.O.D. – Faith has never been so faithful as it is with this hard crunching, slam dunking hardcore band, who never improve and never get worse but remain consistently brilliant – Grade: A
9. Let's Boot And Rally – Iggy Pop And Bethany Cosantino – Too oil and water, but not terrible blues rock rocker – Grade: B
10. Unto Caesar – Dirty Projectors – Marching song and second killer track off their newbie – Grade: A
