Remember the controversial video by the Flaming Lips and Erykah Badu? I never found out whether Erykah and her sister were truly pissed off by the result or were just playing around for publicity, but it seems that the Lips want to remake this video with somebody else, Amanda Palmer to be precise as Wayne Coyne revealed to MTV news!
The video was put online and shortly after removed from Vimeo and YouTube – although you could still find it at one point – and the Badu sisters were claiming they had been violated, which made me wonder on which substance they were when filming the video!
This is what Wayne Coyne had to say about the affair:
‘Erykah Badu knew what she was getting into. When she said that to me, I took it as 'I'm going to show you that the way I love you is that I'm going to scratch your face off and we're going to go for it’.
Whatever is going on between these two, I am not sure I want to know, as Wayne also declared to NME, ‘It's a joy to be with people like her. If it was just me and her I would fight with her all day. It's just a video, y'know. It's a silly thing.
But crazy Wayne, while onboard the O Music Awards bus, said this to MTV:
‘At the moment, I'm talking with [Dresden Dolls singer] Amanda Palmer about remaking the video and having Amanda sing it and just be in the video’
So this is a girl who is not afraid of controversy and nudity,… now are they going to redo the exact same video with Amanda’s glittery ass in that blood-semen bath?
