Seventies icons10cc have not played the United States since 1978, let me add to that. They have not played North America since '78 and there are now New Yorkers have one day to see the band in a very unique setting.
10cc has sold over 30 million albums worldwide. "Things We Do For Love" has been played over 3.5 million times on US radio. "I'm Not In Love" has been recorded by The Pretenders, Will To Power, Peggy Lee, Richie Havens, Fun Lovin' Criminals, and most recently The Flaming Lips.
rocknyc never forgot about them, hell our own Robert Nevin wrote up a fine review of "How Dare You" a couple years ago was a shining morment for us!
New York's show on July 13th will be held at the New York Society for Ethical Culture. A very strange mission statement from this organization
Ethical Culture is a religion centered on ethics, not theology, whose mission is to encourage respect for humanity and nature and to create a better world. Members are committed to personal ethical development in their relationships with others and in activities involving social justice and environmental stewardship
We believe all individuals have inherent worth and dignity, the potential to grow and change, a responsibility to strive for ethical growth, and a responsibility to create a better world.
As an Ethical Community we are all part of something that transcends the individual experience and are enriched through our relationships with others. As such, we have responsibilities to each other, to the Society, and to the community.
How on Earth did they pair up with 10cc? I am unsure but the event is listed on their website
