Outernational New Video, 'We Are All Illegals' Featuring Tom Morello, Chad Smith, Residente Calle 13 And More Than 100 Fans

Just a few days after the Supreme Court’s decision regarding Arizona very controversial immigration law known as SB 1070, the dynamic quintet Outernational has released a powerful video ‘We Are All Illegals/Todos Somos Ilegales’ featuring producer Thom Russo, Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith, Residente Calle 13 and many, many fans.

The message is strong and clear, delivered as always by the outspoken Miles Solay and his band, but what makes this video even more impressive is the participation of more than 100 people worldwide, who have submitted videos and photos during the last weeks! The bi-lingual result is striking, genuinely compelling and well needed in these trouble times, directly addressing the issues of immigration and the unfair criminalization of illegal workers.

With fans of any age and ethnicity holding banners or writing the song lyrics about everywhere, with the band bringing their Mexican trumpets along the Texas border and their forthright words in our faces, we cannot miss the message: as you can read and hear in the video, ‘The land we stand on every inch of it is stolen’, and so we are all illegals! This is the same message of human dignity that was already addressed by the other freedom-fighter band Gogol Bordello, in their 2010 'Immigraniada' video, which ended with the declaration ‘No human being is illegal’, and no surprise there, Eugene Hütz has produced one of Outernational single in the past years.

The powerful and poignant video ‘We Are All Illegals’ was produced by Cuéntame the ¡Latino Instigators!, and Outernational album, which mix rock, cumbia, hip-hop, punk with a straightforward political message, can still be downloaded on their bandcamp page.
