Elvis is back (was he gone) with a new concept tour that is currently only booked for the West Coast. It is just a matter of time before it goes East as Costello never misses the right side.
After an extensive tour of the 'Spectacular Spinning Songbook" this new idea is a bit less peppy.
Asked about the title, Costello explained
"This show may contain any song I've written Some you will know already, some are the hits of tomorrow
I'm playing this show now in the unlikely event that I'm not around to perform the songs on the appointed date. Don't be late, we're going to have a big time"
A nice thought at a weird time. Will this start the 'is Elvis ill' rumor mill? Nah, its just a Costello quirky tour he seems to always have some sort of angle. The quote "may contain any song I've written' couldn't be more vague. Doesn't any concert have the same idea?
Regardless, Costello is wonderful live and wonderful in general so we should all go and support him just the same. Stay tunes as I am certain dates will head East shorty- but in the meantime, heres the lefties.
