FYF Fest Has Announced Its Impressive Lineup

The FYF Fest has just announced its line-up and it looks spectacular! Especially if you like punk rock and electronics, but other stuff too… It is also a very dense bill, but this year the music festival is extended to two full days, September 1 and 2.

Headlining the festival, the eclectic hardcore-electronics-indie trio Refused, M83 and Beirut! Also scheduled, English electronic musician James Blake, noise-dance-pop Sleigh Bells, post-hardcore Quicksand (who just reunited after13 years!), psychedelic pop Yeasayer, and this is just a small sample of what you will be able to see for just $77 (the announced price for a weekend pass).

The list is very long, with a few bands that I have seen recently such as Dinosaur Jr, Wild Flag, Fucked Up, Ceremony and many many excellent local (or almost local) bands such as The Growlers, Redd Kross, The Soft Pack, The Allah-Las, White Fence, FIDLAR, and I am just talking about the ones I am familiar with.

If you are a hardcore or a punk fan, you should be really pleased to see Refused, American Nightmare (Give Up The Ghost), Turbonegro, Ceremony and Converge on the same bill. And seriously, there are also some awesome surprises like Desaparecidos, Conor Oberst’s side project, and Paul Banks, Interpol’s frontman going solo!

Now the choices will be difficult, but it’s gonna be two intense days for sure.

The event will take place at the LA State Historic Park, and tickets go on sale this Friday June 22 via TICKETFLY.COM at 5:00pm PST, but they will also be available at over a dozen record stores and select Chilli Beans Sunglasses locations.
