Every Angels and Airwaves sounds the same. Exactly. The nasal vocals of Tom DeLonge and the witter twitter of the synth and the anthemic chorus. There is no deviation there are no exceptions to the rule. "Insert new lyric here", you can have the same song on perpetual repeat and not even realize it.
The difference here is that its wonderful. I'm not going to say its 'amazing' or 'awesome' but it is very pleasing to the ear and harsh contradiction to the frat boy Blink 182 alter ego. Live they are goose bump inspiring recorded they just make good sound,
That being said their videos change theme..ok that's a lie too. They're all the same with the dead serious instagram tint and triumph theme. This one is silly with the kids fighting the authorities and fire and everything is orange. Is this the same guy who makes dick jokes with his other band, to be honest its sorta creepy how he has two persona's.
Bottom line? Angels and Airwaves is great background music to your next board game night. It really is a pretty sound. Just forget watching their videos and try to put the Tom DeLonge oddity aside.
