Remember that show American Idol? That thing was all the rage years past, now its hardly mentioned. The winners just carry on and the losers well they go back to their towns as heroes but that's it. The show is still on, though you may not realize it and this week the judging will bring five contestants to four.
There was a time when it was a coveted thing to be on Idol cuz it was so unique. Now with 'The Voice", 'X factor' an all those other talent show nightmares- its pretty much passe'.
Enter Coldplay a day late and a dollar short and if they don't pick up some momentum they're going to be in the same boat. I loved their performance at the Secret Policemans Ball. So full of energy and fun. But they see to be a hit or miss operation. Love them or hate them they are a mega pop band and should be treated as such. I'm kidding, you don't have to treat them as such or as anything, they're a band that's it.
And now all the more dull by appearing on this ailing television series. Wonder what the ratings will do with them on it. Yeah, not much of a budge I bet. But who knows- stranger things have happened.
