Presley defines What We Do

This is a Presley quote from the ’68 special: “I’d like to talk a little bit about music. A very little. There’s been a big change in the music field in the past ten or twelve years and I think every thing has improved, the sounds have improved, the musicins have improved, the engineers have certainly improved. I liked a lotta the new groups, the Beatles and the beards and whoever… I really like a lot of the new music.  But a lot of it basically… our music is basically… rock and roll is basically Gospel or rhythm and blues or it sprang from that. And people have been adding to it, experimenting to it, But it all boils down to ‘One for the money, two for the show, three to get ready now go cat go…'”
And when we forget Presley’s words it’s over.
