Shuffle Is Back

So this is what I did… I typed in Elvis Presley on my itunes search and this is what came up
Dirty, Dirty Feeling – Now you thought I was gonna mention Presley is the only white guy to ever get the sexiness of the blues right. Nope. I’m gonna mention Scotty Moore’s killer guitar break.
I Love You Because (Take Two) – From the Sun Sessions and what is bizarre is he had ballads down before he was twenty-one years old.
You’re Right, I’m Left, She’s Gone – Take #12… now it stops being a pop standard and becomes a blues standard.
Gospel Medley – From the ’68 special and I think this is a problem with Presley’s Gospel work and also the only problem with his Gospel work: the background playing is bland. Otherwise? He’ll make a believer of you. What is it with this bloke? He sounds sexy even when he is singing about the Lord and especially on “Where Can I Go But To The Lord”.
Just Tell Her Jim Said Hello – My mom used to drink sherry and blast this song. Me? First song I learnt on guitar.
Blue Hawaii – Do I romanticize Presley out of all proportions? Not even close. Terrific movie, great song.
Heartbreak Hotel – Back to the ’68 special, first he clears his throat and then he nails it dead.
Wooden Heart – An emasculated Presley going for the bucks and he still sounds fabulous.
Viva Las Vegas – This is so great Springsteen had to cover it

Help Me Make It Through The Night – Listen to the say he says “loose” . This is a great song and Elvis doesn’t sound all that interested and he STILL KILLS. This guy was unreal. He was King.
