Jeff Magnum of Neutral Milk Hotel is just a genuinely good guy!
According to the LA weekly, during his set at Coachella on Saturday, Magnum stopped his performance to help a fan in distress as the security guards weren’t visibly paying attention to what was going on.
If the previous weekend was cold and rainy, the temperatures during this second weekend were back in the 100 ºF, and a young female had passed out from heat and dehydration.
As soon as he saw her, Magnum rushed over to her and asked ‘Are you okay?’ then he ‘walked over to make sure she was okay’ when she was carried from the stage, and ‘he waited until the girl was on her feet and offered words of well wishes’.
He even added:
‘I was at a show once where someone was being taken away in an ambulance and the lead singer kept going, I was like, 'You're an asshole.'’
Jeff Magnum? Definitively not an asshole, taking care of people around him, not having a second thought about what will happen to his performance… he seems like a great guy, even though he is still asking that no photos be taken from the pit during his set!
