OK everyone stop reading and go click below. Finally finally a great new song by Arctic Monkeys!! The track will be released as the B-Side to the band's new single 'R U Mine? for the idiotic Record Store Day.
Record Store Day is April 21st. Run to your local record shop and support their efforts- if you can find one cuz I certainly cannot. Luckily this tune is also digital cuz if it was only on that vinyl well none of us would have heard it yet, right? Records are all well and good but this is 2012 and we want instant gratification.
The tune has a more psychedelic buzzy sound with distorted vocals so its not the Brit fun of "Marty Bum' but it also doesn't suck as the tune 'R U Mine?' does. Its a happy medium between fabulous and trash.
What this proves to me is that the Monkeys still got it. They have a great sound and now, well I will hold them to that and no longer accept the garbage they have been producing since "Florescent Adolescent"
Great new song, lets hope they can come back to this sound at least.
