Whats proven to be one of the toughest tickets in town will be streaming for those who aren't friends with a scalper.
Jack is a wacky dude and in celebration of his first solo album he will have the first stop of his mini tour streamed on Vevo and odly directed by Gary Oldman. The show will be the first installment in the third season of American Express’ “Unstaged” series which matches a musician and an famous filmmaker and see what happens. Free streaming concerts remind me of televangelists. Concerts for shut in's, the only thing missing is the prayer line. Ive watched a few, I saw the infamous last LCD Soundsytem show and recently the Secret Policeman's Ball from Radio City. Both shows had rocknyc's Iman Lababedi on premises, then again, he's at every show.
April 24, White will release Blunderbuss, the first solo album from the former White Stripe.
The “Unstaged” series has drawn more than 70 million streams for performances from Arcade Fire, Coldplay, Mary J. Blige and others.
On a side note the album is streaming for free on iTunes right now- it is fantastic and reviews are sure to follow.
