We are at the point where a ticket to a hot show in Manhattan is a ticketmaster lottery. You and your luck, that's all.
I have been shut out of three presales, attempting to buy one ticket only, and at the moment the tickets have gone on sale in succession. Where did they all go? They are all with ticketbrokers? How? They have software which makes the security code an industry wide joke for anybody who isn't a ticket brok… scalper. The maximum tickets? That's a joke as well.
The security is really simple. By the same you've recopied the code, the tickets have been sold to scalpers.
What do Ticketmaster care? As long as it sells out, who gives a shit? What do the artists care? The only person who cares are the fans and they're getting fucked.
Where is the Chamer Of commerce? Where is the better business bureau. How can tickets be on sale in secondary outlets before they are on sale in primary outlets?
The solution is simple: tell ticketmaster they have six months to develop the software to stop this or their license to sell tickets will be revoked. Give it to another company (there are many waiting) with the software to deal with this grand theft rock fan.
Personally, I am completely sick of it.
