1. Pointed Into Zoom – Love On A Real Train – Don't let the Tangerine Dream band name fool ya, this is Ry's son Joachim Cooder's project for guest vocalists. The song features Inara George and it simply can't be much better, a gorgeous synthy soundscape that doesn't lose a deep connection to the song. Grade: A-
2. Earthquake – Labrinth – A huge hit in the UK, it's dance pop plus an above average rap from Tinie "ready for the US so when will he break here" Tempah Grade: B+
3. Love On A real Train – Tangerine Dream – Sounds anxious – Grade: B+
4. Die Walkure: Prelude – Richard Wagner – It does exactly what it should: gets you on the edge of your seat with anticipation – Grade: A+
5. Punk Is Dead – Jeffry Lewis – Far be it for me to disagree with Jeffry, but the Clash signing to CBS wasn't the death of punk, the Sex Pistols exploding in San Francisco was the ultimate punk moment. The grade is not based upon subject market (that would be: C) but on the song which is a smartass three chord wonder. grade: B+
6. Sam (Is Dead) – Odd Future – First class snap shot, "still suicidal but people assume I'm cool now…" Grade: A-
7. Movin' On – Justin Townes Earle – Album closer and we both pretend we don't know why. Grade: A
8. in My Trunk – Dev – I can't decide about this chick: it's like Die Antwood covering Robyn. Grade: B+
9. The Trooper – Iron Maiden – Based solely upon this song, I plan to stay for their set at Prudential.
10. Time To Move On – Monica – Channels her inner Betty Wright – Grade: A
