What happens when you write about a band like Dexys Midnight Runners? Well first of all you get to throw down silly comments and reminisce about the past but you also get contacted by cool people.
See us old timer are a hearty lot. We haven't faded in to the woodwork at all we are still here still strong and still making a ruckus.
Case in point Mr Geoff Blythe. Who? An original Midnight Runners who seems to be the more skilled side of the sound. Along with band mate Big Jim Paterson they have kept music alive with their new band GIBlythe. A horn fused grown up sound that has really amazingly 80's inspired vocals. (take a listen, there are times it sounds like Edwyn Collins)
