We have already wrote about the upcoming Screaming Females’ album ‘Ugly’ produced by Steve Albini, but it had escaped me that the video for the opening track ‘It All Means Nothing’ was posted a little while ago on YouTube.
But may be it was better like this… and I shouldn’t have watched it! The least I can say is that it's a gruesome and bloody one! Over Marissa Paternoster’s bold and fierce howl, the two cat-lover guys of the band discover that the girl hides a gory habit, and decide to use some radical method to stop it.
How did they come up with such a horrible idea for a video? I am talking about the cats of course! Anyway I am sure no animals were harmed in the making of the video as they say, but still, it was painful to watch.
‘Ugly’ is out on April 3 via Don Giovanni records, and right away, the New Jersey band will kick off a tour of 35 dates through the states:
