The Neon Trees are featured in an ad for Buick in celebration of their new sound system. When I first saw this commercial I nearly hurled. They look obnoxious and 'wanna be' cool. Buick is wanting an image change..why chose a boring safe band?
So that was my first impression. A giant bag of indifference if not borderline disgust. God how I hate the hipsters.
Til this. A found a video of The Neon Trees performance on Jimmy Kimmel and suddenly, like some odd cosmic flux. They looked cool. I will admit that "EvrubuddAYY TaWWKS" is annoying as hell but the band- why the band is smokin hot! I say do something with that guy and tell him to tone down the Steve Perry inflections and heck I may dig this stuff!
Ok, so the Prince suit is bothersome and the drummer looks like a Go Go but hey.. I no longer hate.
