Way back when I was a whippersnapper we made fun of Paul Williams. A long haired dark glasses wearing smarmy pervy character on all the talk shows. The guy was on the Dinah Shore Show, Mike Douglas Show.. and even all the game shows. I honestly had forgotten all about him until today.
Cuz apparently he was a pretty well admired song writer. As a kid I had no idea that whe was responsible for dentist classics like “We’ve Only Just Begun” and Kermit the Frogs “Rainbow Connection” impressive!
Well you’d figure he’d be sitting (or propped up on) a porch swing by now but no way not this cool cat. He is actually working with Daft Punk

He reportedly said at the SXSW, 'I have written songs for Daft Punk. This material will appear on their new album, coming maybe June.'
Williams has also worked with The Scissor Sisters… huh?
I may have gotten this guy all wrong, ya gotta be damn cool to be that cutting edge 40 years after prime. Rock on PW…rock on.
