Not only did I not like Odd Future at T5 last year, U don't much like "Rella" either. But "Rella" is growing on me and "NY (Ned Flander)" is better and this gig, on Tuesday, is at the vastly superior Hammerstein Ballroom, plus I have a balcony seat so I might see something without dying.

Monday – Rich Robinson – Bowery Ballroom – Former Black Crowe's guitarist was deadly at the Stones tribute except for the guitar. Should be a lot better hear.

Wednesday – Nellie McKay – Feinstein's – Weirdo cabaret chick and always a pleasure to see her. Especially here.

Thursday – The Black Keys – MSG – I can't read this one at all -I'll be very happy if they are great. Very, very happy to have an old time new time rock band able to do what Kings Of Leon couldn't: rock the Arena.

Friday – Grimes – Mercury Lounge – Sold out of course, and I missed it.

Saturday – Jason Aldean – Izod Center – With Luke Bryan and as Sid Vicious once noted, all those cowboys are faggots.

Sunday – Miniature Tigers – Bowery Ballroom – I haven't paid the new album the attention it deserves, because whenever I do I love this sorta indie rock Holy Ghost disco band's third  album as much as their first two. And the lead singer sounds like a member of the Bee Gees. I really have to get around to writing a lot about these guys.
