Beside his rapper career, this guy has been a reality show star, but with a name like his, he had to be trying the eatery adventure.
Public Enemy’s Flavor Flav has opened a restaurant in Las Vegas, ‘Flavor Flav House of Flavor’, which will serve,… fried chicken, Southern soul food, and a speciality, red velvet waffles.
According to the first review, the food is good, the price is decent, and Flavor Flav actually works there and ‘is friendly and accessible to customers’.
Flavor Flav had alredy attempting the restaurant thing as he opened his first one in Iowa, Flav’s Fried Chicken, but had to close it ‘when it wasn’t being run right’; but he hasn’t given up and is opening a new FFC in Detroit in April.
He explained to Business Week the difference between the two restaurants:
‘The name is different. FFC is fried chicken and House of Flavor is, you know, a house of flavor. Both are still by the same person, which is myself."
The restaurant is located a few blocks southeast of downtown Las Vegas, so go say hello to FF if you go there, since he is promising the best chicken:
‘Now, the secret with my chicken is I season my chicken first real good, then I send it to straight to unflavored flour, and I let the seasonings from my chicken season the flour when it's fried, that way when you bite into my chicken, you get that double flavor explosion… Mine is double good, theirs is singly good.’
Hopefully he will manage these new restaurants better than the first one.
