I have never cared about fashion contrarily to a lot of women, and it is not the kind of crowd attracted by fashion shows, the Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton of the world, that are gonna make me change my mind.
Kanye West is into fashion, women fashion, he presented his latest collection last Tuesday in Paris, and according to the NY Times, Ms. Kardashian, Alicia Keys, Sean Combs, Common and Azealia Banks were front row to admire his stretch pants, leather jackets and other un-wearable items. As I said I could not care less, but I just remember reading about some $5,800 high-heels-sweater shoes from his fall collection, which looked like some Mad Max footwear from hell, but again, what do I know about fashion?… However I know about his overuse of fur, way too much fur, and a crime to my eyes!
But the point is that Kanye West banned all fashion critics during the presentation of his second collection!
New York Times fashion writer Eric Wilson said to the New York Daily News: ‘He canceled last minute, saying, ‘I don't know about this. I got treated unfairly by the press last time. Why would I want to do this?’
West added to justify his decision: ‘No, if they don’t understand it, they don’t understand it’.
So whatever he does, Kanye West seems to think he should be treated differently, the whole world is unfair to him, and he is this big genius that nobody understands. He is in the wrong business, it would seem that to be an entertainer, and now a designer, means to be exposed to the critics all the time. West has a huge ego, we already knew that, but he has another problem, he seems so insecure, and he may be hiding something behind all these women fur coats.
