Ed Sheeran can do no wrong. He owed the Brit awards, he has sold out his silly two stop teaser tour of the US and returns this spring to sell out crowds supporting…Snow Patrol?
I think Snow Patrol owe a heap of high fiving to this ginger boy- if ever an opener had a greater buzz than the headliner this is certainly it. Check out this cover of the Oasis hit "Wonderwall'
A rock tune stripped down acoustic. Although, I do feel he sounds alot like Tracy Chapman in the 'Fast Cars' era, I can not dispute that this man has a great voice. I think its the interpretation and pauses in the lyric that take a rather overdone tune and totally revamp it. The vulnerability is actually believable, whereas the Oasis version really had no cred. The Gallagher brothers are not at a loss for false modesty, Sheeran almost owns modesty. Or is an act?
I suggest we enjoy Sheeran while the purity is there. The industry eats kids like this for breakfast. Then again, he could be more strong than he appears.
