Brett Michaels, Still Not Dead

There was a period of time not so long ago when every time you read a music sight Brett was dying of something or other.  Brain hemorrhage, diabetes, rickets, it was always something and not to sound crass but it got rather outrageous.

This all began in 2009 when Brett was in a musical number on the Grammys in celebration of the show ‘Rock of Ages’  he belted out the tune and as the grand finale took a set piece lowered from the rafters to the head. Boom, the boy hit the ground.

A year later- brain hemorrhage.

Yes they could be related but no one will ever know for sure- bottom line, it happenend and its cash in time.  The problem is CBS who broadcast the show an The Grammys themselves are not budging and as defendants are hitting up the US district court against Rock of Ages Broadway LLC, the company that controls the Broadway production of Rock of Ages.  Lord what a waste of court time.

Alex Weingarten the attorney for Brett Michaels stated:

"This is a desperate act. The producers of the Tony Awards and their co-defendants cannot credibly deny that they almost killed Bret while he was performing with the cast of Rock of Ages, so instead they are trying to point the finger elsewhere. CBS and the rest of the defendants are just grasping at straws. It was their negligence that injured Bret, and it was then their decision to try to profit from his injuries by joking about them and playing them for ratings. We did not drag Rock of Ages into this, and Bret has nothing but the utmost respect for them, their production and the performers who were on stage and in harm's way with him that night."

This thing will drag out longer than Michaels’ never ending goodbye
