They say it was due to 'high demand' and 'technical difficulties'. The ticket sale for this years Bonnaroo Festival was scheduled to begin on February18, but was abruptly postponed.
This years show, which features The Beach Boys, Phish, Bon Iver and The Red Hot Chili Peppers (among others) reportedly is causing the most buzz of any other years line up. It is also one of the most diverse if not brow furrowing line up I have seen in awhile, though I suppose The Peppers can wake you up after Phish gets you wasted and Bon Iver puts you to sleep. The Beach Boys will surely be having a 'wtf' moment whenever they look around. Having the Boys there is like drinking Koolaid from crystal goblets. Kooky!
Organizers said they were trying to fix the site problem and would announce by the end of Monday when tickets would go on sale again for the festival, which is held annually in June in Manchester, about 65 miles southeast of Nashville. I wonder what sort of problem occurred- websites crash due to swarms of users but if the sale had not even begun, how and what was discovered?
Or is a line up change on the horizon?
