It's time for all of us to take a good long look at this whole Whitney Houston thing. Now sober up your thoughts try to detach from that faux depression you're in cuz first and foremost she was a singer- not your mother, not your friend, she sang songs.
Ok now that we have that in perspective lets look at the carnival of fools who jumped at the opportunity to release their anguish over their entire lives on the back of a pop singer. I have been to a million funerals, and I assure you you do not cry for the man in the box, you cry for every sorrow you have ever encountered. Its just a good forum to do so. This is not to take away the truth that you are sad for this current loss, but really why was it televised?
Bobby Brown had a ego blast. Rev Al tweeted the best statement FROM THE FUNERAL, hell I even retweeted cuz it was so fucking funny " I am at Whitney's funeral. I spoke with Bobby Brown trying to calm him down and not distract from the services. Today is about Whitney!" yet that boy was in CT singing at the casino just hours later. And Al, WHO THE FUCK USES TWITTER AT A FUNERAL? Unless your a narcissistic scum bag.
Aretha? Cmon you poured on the sorrow at your Radio City show, and created the greatest show of all. Your deeply religious nature actually had you bringing a preacher man to the stage to offer prayer and you sang hymns to a packed house.
But your legs hurt too much to pay respects at the actual funeral…but not to much to get up and rock that stage again the evening of the funeral. Two words- Wheel Chair. You have an army of handlers and you couldn't have the courtesy to pop a pain pill and haul your ass into a wheelchair to show respect? That's an atrocity. It is hard to look up to someone with such contradictory behavior. Or was there some deep dark secret that kept her away? Doesn't matter- you show your respect you get on with it. Its not like she had to take the city bus to get there.
So lets see- are Bobby and Aretha any different? Both opted out of the solemn event of respect and farewell but got up to shake their groove things to a house of strangers. For applause. hmm
In the case of Aretha she basically called out of school and went to the prom. Why go to the sad boring part when you can party it up later on? Makes sense if your 14, comes across as repulsive if your over 30. As for Bobby, he acted out in class to get suspended and sent out but still got to the dance that night. Pathetic.
Whitney Houston is dead. For whatever reason she is and shes not coming back. Her fans need to pull it together cuz they're looking a bit odd. She died in media years ago.
But as for 'family'…that poor thing was surrounded by frauds.
