Glen Matlock bassist for the Pistols and Hugh Cornwell singer/guitarist for The Stranglers are touring together with Blondie drummer Clem Burke. A co-headline tour straight of the home for the aged. Why? Cant you leave us with the vitality of your youth?!
Cornwell was with the Stranglers from 74-90, and is most responsible for their mainstream hits ‘Peaches’, ‘Nice and Sleazy’ and the lot. Matlock of course was the bitter bassist who never said a nice thing about the Pistols since the day that band died. He bailed in 1977 but jumped on the gravy train for some reunion stuff in 1996 and 2002-2003.
The Tour Dates suck too, Feb. 24 in Tucson, Ariz., at the Club Congress. Dates are scheduled through a March 17 gig at Los Angeles’ EchoPlex. Not one New York stop. Which goes to show- its pointless.
