Black Sabbath is on a renuion stint. Old greasy geezers serving up some old time bat eating to their fans and their grand children.
This endeavour was first thwarted by the revalation that Tony Iommi was battling cancer, that got resolved. Now it seems the next hurdle overcome is that of the 'disagreeable' contract that drummer, Bill Ward wouldnt sign. Listen Bill, no offense but whatever it said you should have just rolled with. Youre the drummer what other gigs is a 63 year old heavy metal antique going to score?
The good news is- no one will care and it doesnt matter cuz a drummer just gotta drum. Stick a face on the human behind the kit, doesnt matter.
The Sabbathers had the following statement on their Facebook page:
We were saddened to hear yesterday via Facebook that Bill declined publicly to participate in our current Black Sabbath plans. We have no choice but to continue recording without him although our door is always open…We are still in the UK with Tony. Writing and recording the new album and on a roll…See you at Download!!!"
Yeah, they aint cryin'.
And here is Wards statement:
"If I'm replaced, I have to face you, the beloved Sabbath fans. I hope you will not hold me responsible for the failure of an original Black Sabbath lineup as promoted. Without fault finding, I want to assure everyone that my loyalty to Sabbath is intact."
