Have you ever watched the History Channel's American Pickers? I certainly haven’t, I don’t even know how you can find these shows running in the middle of the evening, on one of these hundreds cable channels,but they do exist.
The show has aired since January 2010 and currently attracts 5.7 million viewers each week. Founder and host Mike Wolfe collects stuff found all around the country, some rusty-dirty oddities and other curiosities abandoned in small-town dusty attics, basements barns and junkyards, Well I knew the PBS’s series Antiques Roadshow, and this is what this show reminds me! Although it is probably revamped with good-looking men with tight tee-shirts and sexy jeans.
Anyway, Jack White will welcome the American Pickers’ crew in his Nashville-based Third Man Records store on January 9th, since, apparently, the ex-White Stripes man collects weird stuff too. He has offered them personal artifacts, and in particular the actual photo booth used in 'The Dead Weather Hang You From The Heavens’ video, in exchange for one of the most ‘memorable’ treasures ever to appear on the show.
When you look at Jack White, he is already a curiosity by himself, and this show has to be for die-hard fans, otherwise who could really care about this?
