Auld Lang Syne Reviewed Over And Over Again

"Auld Lang Syne", Robert Burns poem of remembrance, has been around for 250 years and everywhere I know gets a good airing, even though the lyric seems a little nonsensesy. It isn't. It suggest we remember the past as we move in the future.

1.  Barbra Streisand – Pretty good with a choir singing counter melody.

2.Susan Boyle – Taken at a dirge pace though she does justice to the melody and includes the additional verse.

3. Mariah Carey – Piano based song plus back up singers, then goes bonkers.

4. Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin – The rat packers taking it seriously

5. Kenny G – Despites to put radio excerpts from the great moments of the 20th century. Why? Because he's a jerk.

6.James Taylor – Sounds like "Fire And Rain"

7. The Beach Boys – Harmony.-and a season wish at the end.

8. Bobby Darin – Ooooh, strings. Plus he adds his own lyric!

9. Pink Martini – Quirky, is that a banjo?

10. Jimi Hendrix Experience – EXACTLY what you think it is.
