Porgy And Bess On Broadway: How Good Will America's Greatest Opera Be?

I saw "Porgy And bess" at the City Opera a few years and thought it was one of the greatest musical experiences of my life. I knew so much of it (so do you, "Summertime, and the living is easy" -that's here…

But i've heard mixed reviews of this production. Audra Macdonald is a great Broadway star, but nothing she has done will give her the workout this will. Nothing will come close.It is a great role, and I will be interesed to see if she can .

I still plan to check it out the story of indigent cripple Porgy and his doomed love for prostitute Bess.
