Florence Welch has been compared to Kate Bush. I'm not sure by whom, but I cant see it. Florence is far more normal, far less edgy and much more talented. Although I am not a fan of this group I can see why people love her. She is powerful and she is interesting. She's not a pretty face in a tight dress but she is not a homely cow crying about love lost. Tonight Flo guests on Saturday Night Live.
If there is one thing that cannot be disputed it is the point blank fact that SNL s-u-c-k-s. They could voodoofy The Beatles and have Belushi host it from beyond and it would still suck. SNL is the aunt who just wont go away. I cringe at the sad attempts at humor. The grabs at 'buzz lines' is glaringly obvious and they just ain't sticking. Their pop culture bubble has popped, oozed and needs to be cleaned up right away.
Musically speaking they did attempt to mix it up a bit. Flo has been on before and she (for some odd reason) only reminded me of Kathy Griffin. Shes back tonight, lets see what's good now.
So, why did I never notice how pretty her voice is? Kathy Griffin? Far from it she has a beautiful if almost angelic glow (although she does look rather older than expected).Shes got some double sided tape holding that jacket secure but what a pretty song and she really has no 'act'. A pretty quirky girl with a microphone and a neat sorta high pitch.

An amazing song and an amazing voice and nice to see her smile and she is better than Adele ever was.
I started off wanting to bash the broad and ended up appreciating her for what she does.
