Back in Spring, I wrote extensively about Bruce Springsteen spending less than $5,000 on tax for his 200 acres of farmland. A piece of property a quarter the size of Central park and he pays $5K in taxes? I don't care what his pathetic excuse is, this is outrageous.
now a senator has woken up to the injustice and the story is getting picked up again.
By picking the pockets of his fellow New Jersey residents Springsteen has abdicated the right to speak for them.
So maybe the thieving boss will get the publicity for this he deserves. Till then, here is one of my many posts (if you want to read the rest put "springsteen farm" in rock nyc's search engine:
"Thieving landowner, tax pilcher Bruce Springsteen's land in the middle of New Jersey is twice the size as the VILLAGE Madonna BOUGHT WHICH IS causing all the consternation in Malawi because she hasn't built the property and made a girls school the way she promised.
But that isn't the point here.
The average Malawian is a subsistent farmer who lives on a dollar a day.
The Maliwian government, the very definition of a third world country, gave Madonna the tax break of a life time. She only had to pay 48600 a year in taxes on the property.
In other words she pays about double the taxes for half the land in a country where the average annual income is $400.
That is the size of the tax break your friendly neighborhood scumbag rock star got on his property.
Springsteen should answer to this but he won't because somebody who would pick New Jersey's pockets for millions in the first place, sure won't stand up and explain himself because we ask him to.
As for Madonna: she is out of her fucking mind."
