I love being reminded of how much I adore Motion City Soundtrack.
They performed an acoustic version of their song "Worker Bee". It is absolutely beautiful. No matter what MCS does acoustic, I always love it more than the original.
The original "Worker Bee" had gotten redundant and slowly fell off my playlist in the past few months. However, this acoustic version has reminded me of the pure and excessive talent the band has. Justin's voice is as chill and smooth as it's ever been, especially highlited by the fact that they played the song a few keys down. The guitar work is intricate but doesn't take away from the vocals. It's a nice backdrop to create an interesting dynamic between the guitar and vocals. It's my favourite acoustic version of any song they've ever done.
Motion City Soundtrack should just make an entire acoustic album.
The boys should really put something new out soon, too.
