The Maine yet again disappoints me.
They released a new song called "Some Days".
The singer's voice has morphed into that of the stereotypical radio singer- i.e. Kings of Leon, Nickleback, Maroon 5, any other of those bands who suck and sound exactly the same really. It's sad and lame. It's annoying beyond belief.
The instruments don't offer much at all. They sound like they put truly no effort into writing an at least somewhat original or interesting song. They've been done before a thousand times, even by The Maine themselves. There isn't a good second of musicianship.
I have to say that this is truly the only thing I hate about the pop "punk"(?) genre. The fact that it's bland, emotionless, and made for teenyboppers to show off to their friends when in reality they don't know anything about good music. It really makes me dislike everything about it because it's so insincere and half done.
It's sad when a band has no potential at all.
